There is nothing—absolutely nothing—half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats ---Kenneth Grahame
2008 BC Cruise
In 2008, we cruised the Inside Passage to the Broughton Archipelago, a group of islands between Vancouver Island and mainland BC, just southeast of Queen Charlotte Strait.
We traveled about 610 nautical miles round trip from Anacortes, turning around at Jennis Bay, in Drury Inlet.
We cruised in June and July this year. Our weather and travel conditions were “normal” for this part of BC—cool, overcast, foggy, rainy, and windy a lot of the time. But we did have a few days of sun. And had excellent crabbing!
We stopped at the following anchorages and marinas: Prevost Harbor, Montague Harbour, Nanaimo, Pender Harbor, Squirrel Cove, Blind Channel, Forward Harbour, Kwatsi Bay, Sullivan Bay, Claydon Bay, Jennis Bay, Greenway Sound, Waddington Bay, Ladyboot Bay, Potts Lagoon, Port Harvey, Bickley Bay, and Reid Harbor.
